Welcome to Nihongo Jouzu Central! This website was made as an entry to Extended Project Qualification with the aim to create a website to assist those interested in learning japanese by introducing them to the three alphabets used in Japanese and taking them up to the point of putting together their first simple sentence, with a Quiz to finish off.
The phrase "Nihongo Jouzu!" has become something of a joke in the japanese learning community as a phrase
that gets thrown around often by native Japanese at the sheer mention of a japanese greeting by a foreigner,
literally meaning "You're good at Japanese!", and so felt fitting for the name of a website intended for
those beginning their japanese learning journey. Perhaps the various visitors to this website in the future
will be lucky enough to be graced with this somewhat meaningless but nonetheless iconic milestone of a
statement of basic proficiency.
