Learning japanese can seem like a daunting task, and this comes from a variety of factors, classed category IV as a "super-hard" language by the US-based FSI, one of the most outwardly obvious reasons for this being the fact you need to learn a completely different alphabet just to get started! Written Japanese is composed of three alphabets: Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji. These 3 alphabets all serve different purposes in the written language to provide clarity in its written form. Let's start with the most simple of these 3, Hiragana.
